So excited!!! In South Boston, today is the St. Patrick's Day Parade. I had been to last year’s parade also my first parade in Boston. More than a million spectators joined the parade and got CRAZY on that day. Let's see what experience I got from these two parades.
When you prepare for the parade, you need to be aware of the traffic. The parade starts at Broadway station, and it will stick to West Broadway and East Broadway instead of winding its way through City Point and by Dorchester Heights. Most streets will be closed on that day.
Last year, my friends and I went to the Farragut Road directly, where the end of the parade. Due to the cold weather, everyone got the beer or hot drink to warm up their body, so did us. We hailed and waved our hands to the parade. The parade features an interesting mix of bagpipes, brass marching bands, elaborate floats, military units, dancers, historic Minutemen companies, politicians, entertainers, individual marchers, societies, and other organizations.

Most people wear the green clothing and stand along the two sides of the parade. If you don’t have any green decoration on your body, don’t worry about that. The parade will throw the green/yellow chain, the American flag, and the green candy along the parade route so that you can enjoy the St. Patrick’s Parade together.

In the parade, you’ll enjoy the colorful floats, Irish and American pipe and drum bands, and enthusiastic crowds. Whether you are Irish or American, people will wear the green decoration to get a good fortune.
