Beautiful places in San Francisco

San Francisco has been one of the most popular tourists’ magnets in America. And this place was so beautiful that I almost go there for college. That is why on this occasion I want to share several exciting places and attractions there, which you must visit:

1. Golden Gate Bridge
It is one of the most iconic and beautiful spot to take pictures in San Francisco city. It connects San Francisco Bay with the Pacific Ocean. However, for some reason, this place has been misused for suicide attempts, but thanks to the net that established by the officials to prevent those to happen again.

2. The Palace of Fine Arts
3301 Lyon St, San Francisco, CA 94123
Palace of Fine Arts is one of the most photographed sites in the City, featured in numerous film and TV productions. It’s also a popular wedding location and dazzling performance venue.

3. Alcatraz
Alcatraz is one of the scariest prisons in the US and it is located on the small island. The Alcatraz island was developed with a lighthouse facility, a military fortification, and a prison. The prison used as a military prison in 1868, then a federal prison from 1934 until 1963. In 1972, Alcatraz then becomes part of a national recreation area and received designation as a National Historic Landmark in 1986. I have not seen the prison closely, but I had taken a boat circling the island and I can still feel the horror.

4. Golden Gate Park
It has 20% larger area than New York City's Central Park. There are a lot of attractions in Golden Gate Park, such as California Academy of Science, Japanese Tea Garden, the De Young Museum, Conservatory of Flowers, Windmills and Tulips, Strybing Arboretum, Strawberry Hill, and many others. The most favorite guests’ spot in Golden Gate Park is Japanese Tea House and Garden. It has the pagodas, a moon bridge and a 1.5-ton Buddha located around the area. An interesting fact about this area, fortune cookies were first created and served here in 1914 and can still be enjoyed in the teahouse.

5. Fisherman’s Wharf
Fisherman's Wharf is well known for being the location of Pier 39, the Cannery Shopping Center, Ghirardelli Square, a Ripley's Believe it or Not museum, the Musée Mécanique, Wax Museum at Fisherman's Wharf, and the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. There are plenty of seafood restaurants which are selling crabs and clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls and souvenir shops which sell postcards with views of the bay, Golden Gate, and Alcatraz. There is the tour to watch a colony of sea lions and historic ships.
