When you live in the United States, you must have a dream of planning a trip to Canada. As an international student living in Boston, I went to Canada two times, one time in western, and the other time in eastern. Therefore, I want to share my Canada western trip took in 2018 to you, that hope to provide some informative source helping you to plan the future trip.
I spent 7 days on this western trip. My flight was from Boston to Seattle, then I took the bus to go through the Ground Customs. I spent 5 days in Canada, which 4 days in the Rocky Mountain area and 1 day in the Vancouver. I booked my trip on the different website, that may offer the seasonal discount for you.

vI booked the JetBlue airline; the flight experience was really good. The seat space was spacious, and the flight service was thoughtful that made me satisfied.

vI booked the Rocky Mountain Package in ToursForFun website. You can decide whether to include the daily meal in the package or not. Also, you can upgrade the three stars hotel to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louis. (I will introduce this famous hotel in the following.)
Food: I didn’t choose the package included the meal, so I needed to find the restaurant when the whole group stops in one area. The stops were located in the downtown area, such as Kelowna, Salmon Arm, Banff, and Kamloops, that you can easily find any restaurant. If you want to have more eating options, I recommend you can decide your meal by yourself.
Hotel: The package already included the living place, the hotel level would be at least 3 stars, such as Prestige Harbourfront Resort, and Prestige Vernon. But I upgraded one day’s hotel to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louis because of its views and the reputation.
Fairmont Chateau Lake Louis also is known as the Banff Springs Hotel. It’s a luxury hotel that was built during the 19th century as one of Canada's grand railway hotels, being constructed in Scottish Baronial style and located in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. The hotel was opened to the public on June 1, 1888. The hotel is located in the Rocky Mountains, just above the Bow Falls, close to thermal springs. The main view from the hotel is across the valley and toward Mount Rundle, which frequently is cited in geology books for its exposed and tilted ancient seabed. The hotel is within walking distance of the resort community of Banff.
In the hotel, although the equipment and decoration are out of fashion, the service and view are really nice. You can join several ice activities in the winter or the water activities in the summer.
l For 2018 Spring Activities:

Stars: ★★★★☆
Communication: The communication included in the packages, so the travel agency provided the coach and took us from downtown, Vancouver to Rocky Mountain. Due to the steep and meandering road, I do not recommend driving to the mountains by yourself, except people who are familiar with the terrain.
Clothing: If you have a coat that can windproof and waterproof, you better bring one on your trip. No matter it’s snowing or not, the temperature from day to night could change around 30-40 °F. Besides, I brought two shoes, one is Dr. Martin boots, and the other is the sneaker. Actually, I wore the boots only because the weather was cold, and the ground was filled with the snow, that the boots can help you walk on the snow more safety.
After this article, I will talk more detailed about my trip, including the place and the price on Wednesday's blog. This article only includes the basic information about the Canada western trip. Hope it can help you to plan your future trip to Canada.😉
