This blog is writing for international student who speak English as a second language, even as third language. This second language means the people is unable to speak English fluently, Which can't compare with people who can speak English as a mother language, likes Indian. Those students always take ESL program before enter colleges.

英语是大部分留学生的第二语言，甚至是第三语言。而我指的英语第二语言使用者，并不包括像印度人这样可以说英语像母语一样流利的留学生。这些留学生大部分会在申请双录取，在进去大学之前先在语言学校学习。
What You Need Pay Attention When You are Taking ESL Program

Some of international student will take ESL program before they enter college, because they didn't reach the language grade that the requirement of college. Originally, ESL program has their own standards of English level to estimate a international student. Students need to reach the level which is required by university. In addition, some ESL school not only require student get the required level, but also require them pass TOEFL/ IELTS. Therefore, I only want to reminder that please pay more attention to your grade and English skill.

很多学生通常是因为无法达到大学的语言成绩要求而进入语言学校学习的。通常来说，语言学校会有自己的标准去评价学生的英语等级，必须要达到一定的等级后才可以正式进入大学。另外，有些语言学校不仅会有英语等级评价制度，而且还需要学生通过托福或者雅思考试，取得一定的成绩才可以正式进入大学。所以，我想说的就是即使在语言学校， 留学生们应该多注意自己的成绩和英语水平。

Best Time to Adapt American Life

Because ESL program only focus on improving student's English, teacher won't teach any professional knowledge to student. Compared with studying in university, ESL program provides a easy life to you, except there will be a lot of classes per week. Therefore, international students can spend time to adapt American life, such as food and communication.

在语言学校，老师们只会教授学生英语技能，而不会教任何专业有关的知识。所以和正式的大学生活相比，你在语言学校的生活将会很轻松，除了课比较多。因此，国际学生可以有充分的时间去适应美国的生活，比如食物和交流方式。

Best Time to Practice Your English

If you experience the really class in university, I guess you don't want to waste time when you were in ESL school. Once you enter university, this means your English is not a problem and professor default that all students are English fluent user. Maybe, However, you only reach the level or pass exam because of reviewing in the night before test. Therefore, what you need to do that is improving your English skill when you are in ESL school.

很多从语言学校出来的留学生，在大学的课堂里是非常艰难。因为在大学的课堂，教授们默认所有人都可以说一口流利的英语。但是，有些留学生通过了语言学校的测试，或者通过语言考试，可能是临时抱佛脚起的作用，而英语水平并没有真正的提高。因此，在语言学校千万不能只为了通过考试，而缺少练习英语。

Best Time to Consider What You Want in U.S.

As I mentioned above, ESL provides a very easy life to you, so you have enough time to consider about any things during the period. For example, if you aren't satisfying with the university which you applied for, you are able to apply for other university this time. If you don't like your major what you applied for, you can change it now. In addition, you can make plan for your future college life.

像我上面所说的，在语言学校学生将会有很多的空闲时间。所以你们就可以去思考下自己究竟想要什么。可以为自己将来的大学生活做一个详细的计划。如果你对现在申请的大学不满意，你可以试着申请其他大学。如果你不喜欢现在申请的专业，也可以申请调换。
